The self-braking motors with manual actuation device of the DAM Series, represent a reliable and safe solution for industrial applications that require the possibility to rotate the motor shaft even in the absence of voltage.
These motors have an integrated electromagnetic brake that immediately blocks the shaft when there is no power, guaranteeing safety in emergency situations or in the event of a power outage.
The manually operated device allows the brake to be released manually, allowing the motor to be moved even in the absence of current, in applications on doors, therefore, it is thus possible to open and/or close the door manually.
How does the DAM work?
The Manual Drive Device for self-braking motors, patented by Carpanelli, responds, for example, to the need to manually operate industrial flexible doors in the event of a blackout or electrical failure.
The mechanical device, operated by the operator, releases the motor brake, connects mechanically to the motor shaft and simultaneously activates the safety microswitch. The safety microswitch (connected in series with the emergency button by the customer) ensures complete electrical blockage, guaranteeing the absolute safety of the operator when manually intervening on the motor shaft.
The device works in any orientation, vertical, oblique, horizontal. The actuation rod can remain permanently attached to the device (even very long rods can be applied to ensure immediate actuation of the device in case of emergency).
